Earth ChemicaI is constantly searching for new markets and potential customer
needs with the desire to contribute to the creation of living spaces that are safe,
secure, and comfortable. Recently, for example, in addition to serving
customers’ needs for the elimination of harmful insects, we have begun focusing
on consumers’ desire for pest prevention with products that keep insects out of
the home. To serve customer needs on a more personal, detailed level, we
deploy one of the largest sales forces in the industry to uncover market needs
and obtain feedback for product development. The result is a product lineup with
solid added value that exceeds customer expectations.

EMAL : Supporting sales from the consumer’s perspective

EMAL is a specialized sales professional department dedicated to creating
unique and imaginative points of sale. Since they are both employees and
potential consumers of their products, EMAL staffs are able to take the
customer’s view in designing sales displays. They further work with retail shops
to create point of sales that stimulate consumers’ desire to buy. By helping

Earth Chemical raises the efficiency of order reception by centralizing all processes at the Order
Reception Center. All processes from order reception to delivery are executed speedily and efficiently,
boosting customer satisfaction by responding more closely to requests from stores.

Never missing the right season to sell

In Japan insecticides are a highly seasonal product, subject to strong seasonal variations in sales
volume. Our insect-repellent sprays, for example, are in demand from June through mid-September, which
is the active period for mosquitoes. Sales also rise dramatically when school vacation starts in late July.
Taking this seasonal effect into consideration, we simulate various product displays in stores to discover
the most effective ways for boosting sales. We also propose ideas about store display creation based on
maximizing sales peaks.
