In its history of more than a century, Earth Chemical has advanced together with
the lives of customers toward continuously proposing even better lifestyles.

1892	Hidezo Kimura founded the company in Osaka (Namba).
1910	A factory was constructed in Hyogo (Ako).
1916	Japan’s first magnesium carbonate was successfully manufactured.
1925	Kimura Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established.
1964	Company name was changed to “Earth Chemical Co., Ltd.”
1970	Company joined the Otsuka group.
1978	Earth Environmental Service Co., Ltd. was established.
1979	Construction of the R&D Center and biological laboratory was completed.
1982	Biochemical division was established in Tokushima city.
1984	ARS Chemical (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established.
1987	Ako factory was completed.
1989	Main office was opened in Tokyo. International Operation Department (presently International Department) was set up.
1990	Earth(Tianjin) Chemical Co., Ltd. was established.
1991	Headquarters was moved to Tokyo.
1992	Biochemical division was moved to Earth Biochemical Co., Ltd.
1996	Sales partnership with Brock Drug Co. in the U.S.A.(presently GlaxoSmithKline in the U.K. has taken over.)
2002	New R&D laboratory in Sakoshi factory was completed.
2003	Collaborative development of bug repellent wear “SCORON” with Teijin Nestex Limited.
2004	Head Office was completed.
2005	Company was certified for ISMS (Information Security Management System) in Japan. Earth Chemical (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established. Company was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2006	Company was transferred from the second section to the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2007	Sales partnership with Reckitt Benckiser headquartered in the U.K.
2008	Tarky Co., Ltd. became a consolidated subsidiary.
2009	Approved＆registered “Eco Action21” Environmental Management System. New plant at Earth (Tianjin) Chemical Co., Ltd. was completed.
